Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. Equipped with a company vehicle and tools, this role involves traveling to various customer sites to maintain commercial properties. Duties include performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general service of buildings, equipment, and grounds. The technician will engage directly with customers to ensure quality workmanship and high work standards, utilizing skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and other necessary trades. Responsibilities • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs according to work order requirements. • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including repairing and unclogging toilets and maintaining valve assemblies. • Conduct routine painting, carpentry work, and general maintenance to maintain facilities in like-new condition. • Perform minor electrical maintenance within state law requirements, such as repairing fixtures and replacing light bulbs. • Complete service and asset inspections as needed. • Utilize technology to access and complete work orders, submit reports, and manage documentation. • Maintain communication with customers and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. • Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed by onsite customers. • Complete other duties as assigned. Essential Skills • High school diploma or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades, or specialty floor care. • Two to five years of general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety policies. • Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems. • Proficiency with handheld devices and business systems, including Microsoft Office. • Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety policies. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing. • Experience in commercial services • Ability to write routine reports and effectively present information in individual and small group settings. • Experience with HVAC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance. Work Environment The role involves daily local travel between properties, using a company-provided vehicle. Work is conducted in a variety of commercial property settings, requiring adherence to safety standards and regulations. The position supports a professional dress code and involves using various tools and technologies to complete tasks efficiently.
