Manage and oversee complex federal environmental remediation projects including staff supervision, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
Requires 6+ years relevant experience, 5+ years project management in environmental remediation, professional licenses (PE, PG) preferred, U.S. citizenship, and experience with federal clients and CERCLA projects.
Description: • Oversee Federal environmental investigation and remediation projects • Manage and direct professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects • Lead CERCLA projects and federal facilities work • Manage RI/FS, Remedial Design, and Five Year Reviews • Regular client interaction on technical, cost, and schedule topics • Prepare and review project invoicing, cash flow management, and budget tracking • Develop and maintain project schedules and resource allocation • Analyze data, conduct technical analyses, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations • Oversee preparation of work plans and organize project studies • Supervise junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders • Negotiate with regulators and stakeholders as needed • Report periodically to area manager and perform work with minimal direction • Occasional overnight travel to project sites Requirements: • BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • U.S. Citizenship is required • 5+ years of experience directly as a project manager (preferred) • Professional License (PE, PG) in New England states (preferred) • 10+ years’ experience in environmental remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project management (preferred) • Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degree (preferred) • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations • Experience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, Air Force, Navy, EPA) • Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA processes • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders • Interest in business development • Experience leading Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies • Experience with CERCLA projects and federal facilities • Familiarity with project invoicing and cash flow management, project scheduling, and budget tracking • Occasional overnight travel required Benefits: • medical • dental • vision • life • AD&D • disability benefits • paid time off • leaves of absences • voluntary benefits • perks • flexible work options • well-being resources • employee assistance program • business travel insurance • service recognition awards • retirement savings plan • employee stock purchase plan • award-winning training and development programs
