Manage and direct environmental remediation projects and teams, oversee budgeting and invoicing, negotiate with regulators, and ensure regulatory compliance for federal clients.
BA/BS in Geology, Engineering or related field with 6+ years in environmental remediation, professional license preferred, experience with federal environmental projects and regulatory frameworks, strong leadership and communication skills.
Description: • Support Environmental business line, primarily overseeing Federal environmental remediation projects • Manage and direct professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects • Lead teams utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices • Utilize existing technologies and experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and regulations • Analyze financial statements and complete budget tracking • Prepare and oversee invoicing and cash flow management • Oversee preparation of work plans and organize project studies • Perform complex assignments requiring development of unique solutions with project team support • Supervise junior and mid-level staff and provide reviews and feedback for improvement • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders as needed • Negotiate with regulators and stakeholders and manage federal client relationships Requirements: • BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • U.S. Citizenship required • Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management • Manages and directs professional and technical staff • Leadership of teams using advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices • Experience in environmental remediation (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) (preferred 10+ years) • Professional License (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM, or similar) preferred • Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or related (preferred) • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations • Experience managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy) • Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders • Interest in business development • Experience leading Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, Treatability Studies, Remedial Design, and Remedial Action Construction • Ability to interpret and record data, conduct analyses, and ensure regulatory compliance • Ability to analyze financial statements and complete budget tracking • Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager • Occasional overnight travel required Benefits: • medical • dental • vision • life • AD&D • disability benefits • paid time off • leaves of absences • voluntary benefits • perks • flexible work options • well-being resources • employee assistance program • business travel insurance • service recognition awards • retirement savings plan • employee stock purchase plan • award-winning training and development programs
