Job Description: • Identify opportunities for senior leaders to shape national conversation on a range of topics • Collaborate with teammates, senior staff, and executives with discretion and diplomacy • Synthesize complex information into clear and compelling written materials for senior leaders • Craft thought leadership pieces for senior leaders for high-level events and interviews • Develop and execute Advocate Health’s strategic communications plans for mergers and acquisitions • Produce creative content demonstrating Advocate Health’s impact in healthcare nationally • Lead and oversee multiple projects ensuring accuracy and excellence in content • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to Communications team members Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 7+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or other business-related field • Includes 3+ years of management experience in leading teams • Excellent research, analytical and storytelling skills • Proficiency in AP style writing • Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of health care industry trends and best practices in communications and health care Benefits: • Paid Time Off programs • Health and welfare benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, and Short- and Long-Term Disability • Flexible Spending Accounts for eligible health care and dependent care expenses • Family benefits such as adoption assistance and paid parental leave • Defined contribution retirement plans with employer match and other financial wellness programs • Educational Assistance Program
