The Revenue Cycle and System Subject Matter Expert Analyst supports operations by translating Revenue Cycle needs into technical requirements and evaluating technology project feasibility. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 4+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle is required. Candidates should have a deep understanding of operational processes, Epic applications, and strong problem-solving skills.

Shift: Monday- Friday Full time Job Location: Remote The role you will contribute: The Revenue Cycle and System Subject Matter Expert ("SME") Analyst supports the operations of the Process Improvement and Business Support team by acting as an intermediary between Revenue Cycle teams and support teams to help translate Revenue Cycle operational needs to technical requirements and evaluate feasibility of technology projects for all AdventHealth acute operations. The Revenue Cycle and System SMEs Analyst performs as a subject matter expert of Revenue Cycle Systems through comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle operational workflows combined with an understanding of technical capabilities. This role involves extensive collaboration with other Process Improvement and Business Support functional areas, including but not limited to Analytics, Automation, Vendor Management, and Project Management teams. The Revenue Cycle and System SMEs Analyst will adhere to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance standards, as well as rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. The value you will bring to the team: Identifies opportunities for process improvement and provides actionable recommendations in support of strategic initiatives related to Revenue Cycle business systems and applications. Partners with Automation team and Operations in identifying and evaluating automation opportunities, developing Process Design documentation and implementing automations for operational gains. Participates in ongoing Revenue Cycle operational and software trainings to keep up to date on functional area workflows and technology capabilities. Relays findings and recommended action plans to Revenue Cycle and System SMEs leadership. Conducts or leads periodic system issue reviews and collaborates with department leadership and IT to implement necessary changes. Collaborates with the Project Management team to provide SME support during the design and execution of strategic Revenue Cycle initiatives. Evaluates project feasibility and translates operational requirements into technical specifications. Collaborates with teams across Revenue Cycle functional areas to translate operational needs into technical requirements. Recommends optimal usage of systems and technologies to achieve operational goals and enhance process efficiencies. Assists with implementation and testing of Revenue Cycle applications, ensuring automations, dashboards, and other applications provide accurate and usable data. Communicates with Revenue Cycle functional areas to increase application effectiveness through ongoing testing and feedback. Provides subject matter expert (SME) support for complex technology initiatives related to Revenue Cycle systems. Other duties as assigned. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: · Bachelor's Required in field of study of business, computer science, healthcare or related field OR 4+ years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle with a focus in one or more of the following areas: Charges, PreAccess, Registration, Billing, or Insurance Follow Up · 1+ Work Experience · Deep understanding of operational process and workflows across the front, middle, and/or back-end Revenue Cycle · Deep understanding of Epic applications, Revenue Cycle specific tools, technologies, and vendors leveraged by AdventHealth, their capabilities, data structure, and relation with other applications · Exceptional problem-solving · Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to use discretion when discussing patient related information that is confidential in nature (as needed to perform duties) · Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.) · Ability to effectively learn and perform multiple tasks, and organize work in a systematic and efficient manner · Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in written form · Ability to follow complex instructions and procedures, with close attention to detail · Knowledge of system testing and quality assurance methodologies · Technical knowledge of current software solutions including report development · Ability to research and communicate complex interpreted data Preferred Qualifications: · Certified Professional Coder (CPC) · Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) · Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - Cert · Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) · Registered Nurse (RN) · Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR)
