Job Title: Junior Talent Manager – Entertainment & Media Location: New York, NY (Hybrid / Remote Considered) Job Type: Full-Time Career Track Compensation: Competitive compensation structure (salary, hybrid, or performance-based arrangements considered based on role progression and experience) About the Firm We are a boutique talent management firm representing clients across acting, television, film, literary, producing, influencer, and digital media sectors. We operate at the intersection of traditional relationship-based representation and modern, technology-enabled career strategy. As the entertainment industry continues to evolve globally—across Hollywood, international markets, and digital platforms—we are intentionally building a firm designed for this new landscape. Our model emphasizes adaptability, cross-border thinking, and proactive relationship-building in a rapidly changing business environment. Position Overview The Junior Talent Manager role is a career-track position for individuals who genuinely want to learn the entertainment business from the inside out. This role requires intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and a strong desire to understand how deals, careers, and relationships are built across Hollywood and the broader international arts ecosystem. This is not a passive role. Junior Talent Managers are expected to engage, communicate, and build relationships while developing business judgment and market knowledge over time. A Critical Reality of This Role Talent management is fundamentally a sales-intensive profession. There is no way around this. Success in this role requires: • Actively pitching talent and projects • Advocating for clients in competitive environments • Building trust-based professional relationships • Following up consistently and professionally • Navigating rejection, negotiation, and pressure If you are uncomfortable with sales, persuasion, outreach, or relationship-driven business development, this role will not be a fit. If you are motivated by it and want to master it, this role offers long-term upside. How We Work Differently We do not train managers to rely on outdated playbooks. Our approach includes: • Teaching how to learn the business, not just perform tasks • Emphasis on who’s who in Hollywood and international arts markets • Strategic use of industry databases, technology, and analytics • Cross-disciplinary representation across acting, literary, producing, and digital • Exposure to packaging, development, and capital formation • A long-term partnership mindset for both talent and internal team members This role is designed for candidates who want to grow alongside the industry rather than chase legacy models. What We Provide We invest directly in the development of our Junior Talent Managers, including: • Access to professional industry databases, tools, and proprietary systems • Established submission, tracking, and career management infrastructure • Ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback • Training in sales, negotiation, and professional relationship-building • Education in talent strategy, branding, and market positioning • Support in building and managing client relationships • A defined advancement framework, including eligibility for our Junior Partner Program (JPP) Areas of Focus Junior Talent Managers may specialize or operate across multiple disciplines, including: • Acting (Film, Television, Theatre) • Television and series talent • Literary (writers, directors, creators) • Producers and project packaging • Influencers and digital creators Candidates are encouraged to develop a focus aligned with their interests and long-term goals. Key Responsibilities • Build and manage professional relationships within the entertainment industry • Actively advocate for talent and projects • Research and coordinate submissions and opportunities • Communicate with casting directors, agents, producers, financiers, and buyers • Scout, evaluate, and onboard new talent • Track auditions, bookings, and professional activity • Support branding, positioning, and long-term career planning • Participate in development, packaging, and related initiatives Qualifications • A demonstrated desire to learn the entertainment business deeply • Interest in Hollywood, global media, and the international arts landscape • Strong communication, persuasion, and follow-through skills • Comfort in sales-driven, relationship-based environments • Professional demeanor, resilience, and accountability • Prior experience in agency, management, casting, production, sales, or business development is a plus, but not required Junior Partner Program (JPP) High-performing Junior Talent Managers may qualify for participation in the firm’s Junior Partner Program, which offers expanded responsibility, leadership involvement, and long-term growth within the firm. Advancement is merit-based and tied to performance and business maturity.
