Full Description

Who We Are Advantage is redefining what it means to be a pharmacy for people with serious behavioral health conditions. We specialize in serving patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and related challenges—patients who are often overlooked by traditional healthcare systems. We provide advanced pharmacy services and wraparound care that ensure patients can access and stay on complex medications. We offer in-home and community-based injection support, help patients navigate insurance and prior authorizations, and work closely with providers to overcome barriers to treatment. By strengthening connections between patients, care teams, and support systems, we make it possible for people living with behavioral health challenges to achieve stability and long-term success. Job Overview The Director of the PMO reports to the VP, Technology and oversees enterprise project management, integration, and execution. Responsible for managing the project portfolio, prioritizing resources, and delivering on strategic objectives, this role enables scalable, compliant, high-performing pharmacy operations, while supporting executive-level cross-functional initiatives. The Director, PMO partners closely with the executive leadership team to align priorities, standardize ways of working, and provide clear visibility into strategic initiatives, risks, and outcomes. This role plays a critical part in acquisition integrations, operational transformation, and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring strategy is translated into disciplined execution across clinical, pharmacy, and operational environments. Responsibilities: PMO Leadership & Governance · Establish and lead an enterprise PMO that enables pharmacy‑led growth while maintaining strong cross‑functional and executive alignment. · Define, implement, and enforce standardized project management frameworks, governance models, and delivery standards appropriate for regulated healthcare and pharmacy operations. · Develop and own end‑to‑end project lifecycle practices, including intake, prioritization, planning, execution, testing, go‑live, and closure. · Clarify roles, decision rights, and accountability to streamline execution and reduce friction across teams. Portfolio & Strategic Alignment · Design and manage enterprise project intake, prioritization, and portfolio management processes aligned to organizational strategy and capacity. · Partner with the executive leadership team to align priorities, establish operating rhythms, and reinforce shared execution practices across the organization. · Facilitate executive planning sessions, roadmap reviews, and retrospectives to improve delivery effectiveness and strategic focus. · Serve as a neutral, trusted orchestrator across functions—driving accountability while enabling collaboration. Cross‑Functional Execution & Integration · Partner closely with Directors of Pharmacy Operations COE, Quality & Clinical Operations, Patient Access, and Behavioral Health Services to execute pharmacy transformation, operational scaling, and performance improvement initiatives. · Lead and coordinate end‑to‑end project management for acquisitions, including integration planning, execution, and post‑close stabilization, in partnership with executive sponsors and functional leaders. · Ensure coordinated execution across Pharmacy Operations, Clinical, IT, HR, Finance, Compliance, and other key functions. · Proactively identify, track, and escalate cross‑functional risks, dependencies, and execution gaps. · Ensure project delivery approaches fully account for regulatory, clinical, patient safety, and compliance requirements. · Actively manage risks to scope, cost, schedule, quality, and compliance, escalating issues with urgency and clarity when operational stability or patient safety may be impacted. Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement · Directly manage and/or oversee high‑impact, complex, cross‑functional initiatives critical to growth, compliance, integrations, or operational stability. · Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, execution rigor, and delivery predictability. · Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce duplication, and improve speed and quality of delivery. · Embed lessons learned and best practices into standardized ways of working and operating procedures. · Coach and support project leads and functional leaders to strengthen project management capability across the organization. Tools, Reporting & Visibility · Own and optimize the organization’s PMO toolset, including Smartsheet and other project management platforms. · Develop and maintain standardized templates, dashboards, and reporting to enable real‑time visibility and informed decision‑making. · Deliver executive‑ready reporting that highlights progress, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and recommended actions—not just status. · Ensure consistent tracking of milestones, KPIs, risks, outcomes, and benefits realization across initiatives. · Enforce consistent use of core project artifacts, including charters, plans, risk logs, status reports, and retrospectives. Required Skills: • Demonstrated ability to think systemically and understand how strategy, operations, technology, and compliance intersect in complex organizations. • Strong judgment in selecting and adapting delivery approaches based on risk, scale, regulatory impact, and organizational maturity. • Experience navigating highly matrixed environments with competing priorities and limited formal authority. • High level of business maturity and discernment when balancing speed, quality, risk, and stakeholder expectations. • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders. • Proven track record of driving alignment and momentum across diverse stakeholder groups with differing incentives and perspectives. • Strong facilitation skills, including guiding executive discussions, resolving ambiguity, and driving decisions forward. • Comfort operating amid ambiguity, incomplete information, and evolving priorities without loss of direction or credibility. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess tradeoffs, identify patterns, and anticipate downstream impacts. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored effectively for executive, operational, technical, and clinical audiences. • Advanced proficiency in project management and reporting tools, with the ability to quickly adopt and optimize new platforms. • High degree of personal accountability, resilience, and follow‑through in high‑visibility, high‑impact environments. • Proven ability to learn, adapt, and improve methods continually. • Professional credibility and presence that inspires confidence with executives, operators, clinicians, and external partners.
