Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse OR Circulator to join our exceptional surgical team. As an integral part of our Operating Room (OR), you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective care to patients throughout their surgical experience. Responsibilities: • Prepare the OR environment, ensuring it is sterile and properly equipped for surgical procedures. • Assist the surgical team by providing the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures. • Perform pre-operative assessments, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery both physically and emotionally. • Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. • Monitor patients during surgery, assessing their condition, vital signs, and anesthesia effectiveness. • Administer medications and interventions as directed by the surgical team. • Document all patient information accurately and maintain thorough records. • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process. • Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe and sterile environment. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of patient care processes. Requirements: • Valid Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN, with previous experience as an OR Circulator a MUST. • BLS and ACLS certifications (current and maintained). • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
