Senior Operations Consultant – Food & Beverage ERP Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Operations Consultant with deep expertise in Food & Beverage manufacturing and distribution operations and hands-on experience with ERP-enabled transformation. This role sits at the intersection of people, process, and technology, working directly with executive leadership teams to design future-state operations and ensure ERP solutions fully support business strategy and performance. You will serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, translating real-world F&B operational requirements into practical, scalable solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Aptean Food & Beverage ERP. This is a ground-floor opportunity to work alongside recognized thought leaders in food & beverage operations, supply chain execution, and ERP-driven transformation, helping clients modernize how they plan, produce, inventory, ship, and scale. What You’ll Do Client Advisory & Operational Leadership • Partner directly with C-suite and senior operational leaders to assess current-state F&B operations and define a pragmatic, value-driven future state • Lead conversations around manufacturing, inventory, quality, food safety, lot traceability, planning, and distribution operations • Translate operational challenges into ERP-aligned process designs that drive measurable business outcomes ERP-Enabled Process Design • Develop deep understanding of client operations and map requirements to Business Central and/or Aptean F&B ERP functionality • Align ERP capabilities to real-world F&B workflows, not theoretical system designs • Identify gaps between current processes and ERP best practices, recommending improvements that balance system capability with operational reality Implementation & Delivery Leadership • Serve as a senior functional lead on ERP implementations, guiding configuration, testing, and deployment decisions • Partner with technical teams to ensure solutions support operational goals without unnecessary customization • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and downstream operational impacts of design decisions Executive Communication & Change Enablement • Clearly communicate complex operational and system concepts in plain business language • Help stakeholders understand trade-offs, business impacts, and value realization • Support organizational change by aligning people, process, and systems A Day in the Life Typically Includes • Evaluating F&B operational processes across manufacturing, inventory, quality, and distribution • Mapping operational requirements to Business Central and/or Aptean F&B ERP capabilities • Facilitating executive and cross-functional workshops • Reviewing solution designs with implementation and technical teams • Advising clients on operational best practices and ERP adoption strategies • Providing clear updates to stakeholders on scope, risks, and progress What You’ll Need Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field • Significant experience in Food & Beverage operations (manufacturing and/or distribution) • Proven experience participating in or leading ERP implementations • Strong understanding of operational processes such as: • Inventory & warehouse operations • Manufacturing execution • Lot traceability & food safety • Demand planning & supply chain coordination • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive-level presentation skills • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities • High level of organization, accountability, and ownership • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) What Will Put You Ahead Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central • Experience with Aptean JustFood and/or Aptean Food & Beverage ERP • Deep industry experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing or distribution • Experience leading or owning functional workstreams on large ERP projects • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet What Sets Adroit Team Members Apart • Passion for solving complex operational problems • Bias toward action, accountability, and continuous improvement • High integrity — doing the right thing, always • Curiosity and creativity — challenging the status quo • Respect, humility, and commitment to team success Seniority Level Senior / Principal-Level Consultant
