Job Title: Benefits Administrator (100% Remote – EST Required) Industry: Government Contracting / Human Resources Location (city, state): Remote (Must reside in the Eastern Standard Time zone) Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire | Approximately 9-month contract Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour (Salary equivalent: $65,000 – $85,000 annually depending on experience) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch), 40 hours per week Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a large, established organization within the government contracting space to hire a Benefits Administrator. Our client operates across multiple states and supports a sizable employee population. They are known for a collaborative HR environment and a strong emphasis on compliance, accuracy, and employee support. Job Description: Our client is seeking a Benefits Administrator to manage employee benefits and leave programs across a high-volume, multi-state workforce. This role will serve as the primary resource for employee benefit and leave inquiries, oversee Open Enrollment, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support ongoing improvements to benefits and leave processes. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates located in the EST time zone. Key Responsibilities: • Administer daily operations for employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans • Manage employee leave programs such as FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability • Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits eligibility, enrollment changes, and leave requests • Track and process leave claims in partnership with HR operations while ensuring regulatory compliance • Lead annual Open Enrollment activities including employee communications, system updates, and issue resolution • Manage the benefits inbox and escalate complex matters as appropriate • Perform benefits billing reconciliation and resolve discrepancies with vendors and brokers • Conduct regular audits of benefits and leave records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws • Support continuous improvement initiatives within benefits and leave administration Qualifications: • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, including leave management • Experience supporting a high-volume employee population across multiple states • Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other applicable federal and state regulations • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; experience with benefits administration platforms • Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs • Experience within government contracting environments strongly preferred • Prior experience supporting Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) is highly preferred • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CBP are a plus • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Additional Details: • Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for conversion based on performance • Start date: Within 1–2 days of accepted offer • Team size: 10+ HR professionals • Company size: 1,600+ employees • Fully remote role with EST working hours Perks: • Fully remote work environment • Exposure to a large, complex HR operation • Opportunity to convert to a permanent role • Collaborative and supportive HR team • Competitive hourly pay with benefits eligibility
