An international automotive component manufacturer in the Farmington Hills, MI area is looking for a Sales Manager responsible for implementing sales programs and managing the sales team. Responsibilities: - Manage sales team, including training and motivating staff to achieve planned goals - Maintain effective relationships with customers - Maintain company's ability to meet budget and sales targets - Review and maintain customer quotations - Respond to various customer questions related to RFQs, order status, costing and program timing -Lead initiative to identify new business opportunities -Negotiate pricing, cost reduction and payment terms with customers Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering or related field - At least 7 years of account management and/or business development in automotive industry - Experience managing and mentoring a sales team - Experience with automotive OEMs and tiered suppliers as customers - Japanese language skills are a plus - Ability to travel up to 25 percent - Strong communication and organizational skills Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc. has been a trusted leader in North American recruiting for Japanese businesses for over 25 years.
