Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our industrial machines. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, directly supporting our clients in the Detroit, MI area. This role requires a proactive and skilled technician who thrives in dynamic environments and values customer service excellence. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machinery at client sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment downtime. - You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues efficiently. - You will provide technical support and training to customers to maximize machine performance. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with engineering and support teams to improve product reliability. - You will respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize client disruptions. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or industrial machinery maintenance. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software related to industrial equipment. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Detroit area. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with PLC programming and control systems. - Background in industrial automation and robotics. - Certifications in electrical or mechanical trades. - Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations in industrial settings.
