Job Title: Field Service Engineer Company Overview: Activ8 is a leading international distributor specializing in CNC machine tools and advanced manufacturing solutions. Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer based remotely in Hartford, CT, you will play a critical role in delivering technical support and service to our manufacturing customers. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will ensure the optimal installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery, helping clients maximize productivity and minimize downtime. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machine tools and related equipment. - You will deliver remote technical support to resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery operates at peak performance. - You will collaborate with customers to understand their technical needs and provide tailored solutions. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will work closely with the engineering and sales teams to support product improvements and customer satisfaction. - You will stay updated on the latest CNC technologies and industry best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years experience in field service engineering, preferably with CNC machinery. - Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics. - Proven ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex manufacturing equipment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with CNC programming and control systems. - Familiarity with PLCs and automation technologies. - Technical certifications related to electrical or mechanical engineering. - Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
