Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial machines. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at client sites, primarily in the Detroit, MI area, helping to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machinery at customer locations. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently. - You will troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on-site. - You will provide timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime. - You will collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records. - You will work closely with the engineering and support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of experience in field service or industrial equipment maintenance. - You possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You have experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery. - You hold a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel within the Detroit area. - You have excellent communication and customer service skills. - You are able to work independently and manage your time effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with PLC programming and diagnostics. - Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Technical certifications related to industrial machinery or electrical systems. - Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
