Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our industrial machines. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, directly supporting our clients in the Detroit, MI area to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machinery at client sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures. - You will troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to provide timely solutions. - You will collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical problems. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will provide technical training and support to clients to enhance their operational knowledge. - You will respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize client downtime. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or industrial machinery maintenance. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Detroit area. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with PLC programming and control systems. - Background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Certification in industrial maintenance or related technical fields. - Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
