Job Title: Field Service Engineer Company Overview: Activ8 is a leading international distributor specializing in CNC machine tools and advanced manufacturing solutions. Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer based remotely in Hartford, CT, you will play a critical role in delivering technical support and maintenance services to our manufacturing customers. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will ensure optimal performance and reliability of CNC machinery. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machine tools. - You will deliver remote technical support to resolve customer issues efficiently. - You will conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment downtime. - You will collaborate with engineering and sales teams to improve product performance. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records. - You will train customers on machine operation and safety protocols. - You will travel to customer sites as needed to provide hands-on support. What You Bring: - You have 3+ years of experience in field service engineering or a related technical role. - You possess strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, particularly CNC machinery. - You have experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation. - You hold a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel frequently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with CNC machine tool distributors or manufacturers. - Technical certifications related to electrical or mechanical engineering. - Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
