Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our industrial machines by providing on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support. You will be the frontline representative of our company, delivering exceptional technical service to our clients in the Detroit, MI area. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machines at client sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality. - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and extend machine life. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction. - You will collaborate with the engineering and support teams to communicate client feedback and technical challenges. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will provide training and technical guidance to clients on machine operation and safety. - You will travel regularly within the Detroit area to support multiple client locations. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or industrial machine maintenance. - Strong technical skills in mechanical and electrical systems related to industrial machinery. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field. - Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with PLC programming and control systems. - Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Previous experience working in the manufacturing or industrial equipment sector. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for frequent travel.
