Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our industrial machines. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at client sites, primarily in the Detroit, MI area. This role requires a proactive and customer-focused professional who thrives in dynamic environments. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machinery at customer locations. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. - You will provide timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain customer satisfaction. - You will collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical problems. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed. - You will train customers on proper machine operation and safety protocols. - You will travel regularly within the Detroit, MI area to support client needs. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of experience in field service or industrial machinery maintenance. - You possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You are proficient with diagnostic tools and technical documentation. - You have excellent communication and customer service abilities. - You hold a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel frequently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with industrial automation and PLC systems. - Technical certifications related to machinery or electrical systems. - Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
