Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial machines. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at client sites, primarily in the Detroit, MI area, helping to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machinery at customer locations. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently. - You will troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on-site. - You will provide timely repairs to minimize client downtime. - You will collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical problems. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed. - You will communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and technical guidance. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or industrial machinery maintenance. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Detroit area. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with international industrial machinery manufacturers. - Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems. - Certification in industrial maintenance or related technical fields. - Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations in industrial settings.
