Job Title: Field Service Engineer Company Overview: Activ8 is a leading international distributor specializing in CNC machine tools and advanced manufacturing solutions. Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer based remotely in Hartford, CT, you will play a critical role in delivering technical support and maintenance services to our manufacturing customers. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will ensure optimal performance and reliability of CNC machinery. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machine tools. - You will deliver remote technical support to resolve customer issues efficiently. - You will perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to enhance machine performance. - You will collaborate with engineering and sales teams to address customer needs and improve service delivery. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations. - You will train customers on machine operation and preventive maintenance practices. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - You have 3+ years of experience in field service engineering, preferably with CNC machinery. - You possess strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems relevant to manufacturing equipment. - You have experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex machinery. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. - You have effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams. - You hold a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel as needed. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with CNC programming and controls. - Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial automation. - Technical certifications related to electrical or mechanical engineering. - Previous experience working in a remote field service role.
