Job Title: Field Service Engineer Company Overview: Activ8 is a leading international distributor specializing in CNC machine tools and advanced manufacturing solutions. Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer based remotely in Hartford, CT, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and service to our manufacturing customers. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will ensure the optimal installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery, helping clients maximize productivity and minimize downtime. What You'll Do: - You will install, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools at customer sites, ensuring operational efficiency. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues to provide timely solutions. - You will collaborate with customers to understand their technical needs and offer expert guidance. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will provide remote technical support and training to customers as needed. - You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams to support product improvements and customer satisfaction. - You will travel to customer locations within the assigned territory to deliver on-site service. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service engineering or a related technical role. - Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, particularly in CNC machinery. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex technical equipment. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with CNC machine tool installation and programming. - Technical certifications related to electrical or mechanical engineering. - Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial automation. - Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
