Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Activ8, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial machines. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at client sites, primarily in the Detroit, MI area. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused professional who thrives in dynamic environments. What You'll Do: - You will install and commission new industrial machinery at customer locations. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently. - You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site. - You will provide technical support and training to customers to maximize machine uptime. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with engineering and support teams to improve product performance. - You will respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize downtime. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or industrial machinery maintenance. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Detroit area. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with PLC programming and diagnostics. - Background in software troubleshooting related to industrial machines. - Certifications in industrial maintenance or electrical systems. - Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
