Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer based remotely in Hartford, CT, you will play a critical role in delivering technical support and service to our manufacturing customers. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will ensure the optimal installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery, helping clients maximize productivity and minimize downtime. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machine tools and related equipment. - You will deliver remote technical support to resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery operates at peak performance. - You will collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will train customers on proper machine operation and safety protocols. - You will stay updated on the latest CNC technologies and industry best practices. - You will travel to customer sites as needed to provide hands-on support. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years experience in field service engineering or a related technical role. - Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, particularly in CNC machinery. - Proven ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex manufacturing equipment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with CNC programming and software diagnostics. - Background in manufacturing or industrial automation. - Technical certifications related to electrical or mechanical engineering. - Familiarity with safety standards and compliance in manufacturing environments.
