Job Title: Systems EngineerJob Description Our Product Architecture team is seeking a Systems Engineering Contractor with expertise in Connect, its APIs, and data-driven tool development. This role focuses on building dashboards, reports, integrations, and processes to improve requirements management efficiency and enhance test and traceability coverage across engineering teams. You will support a small Systems Engineering team by taking ownership of tool-related work, allowing engineers to concentrate on architecture, specifications, and test planning. Responsibilities • Manage, optimize, and document the integration between Connect and Jira. • Utilize APIs to pull structured data for dashboards, reports, and analysis tools. • Troubleshoot syncing issues, data mismatches, and workflow inefficiencies. • Build scalable dashboards, coverage reports, and analytics using Snowflake, data structures, and custom scripts. • Develop automated processes for recurring reporting and traceability coverage. • Implement mechanisms for assessing validation maturity, test coverage, and requirements completeness. • Create workflows and data transformations for efficient Systems Engineering operations. • Maintain complex item-to-item relationships across the system, focusing on gap areas. • Support traceability expansion initiatives. • Participate in meetings with engineering stakeholders to understand data/reporting needs. • Provide tool support, workflow improvements, and troubleshooting to engineering teams. • Collaborate with lead systems engineer and cross-functional members to refine reporting requirements. • Develop workflows, SOPs, training materials, and guides for internal teams. • Train users on new tools, dashboards, integrations, or processes introduced. • Manage data uploads to maintain data integrity. • Maintain project structure, item configurations, and relationship models. Essential Skills • Expertise in Connect and its APIs. • Experience with managing integrations between Connect and Jira. • Proficiency in building dashboards and reports using Snowflake and custom scripts. • Strong troubleshooting skills for syncing issues and data mismatches. • Ability to develop automated processes for reporting and traceability. • Experience in creating workflows and data transformations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in data governance and maintenance. • Ability to develop training materials and user guides. Work Environment Work in a collaborative environment supporting a small Systems Engineering team. Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and participate in meetings to understand data and reporting needs. Utilize technologies like Snowflake, Connect APIs, and Jira integrations. The role involves creating documentation and training materials for internal teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Berkeley, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $120.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
