Job Title: Refrigeration Superintendent Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Refrigeration Superintendent to oversee multiple Amazon distribution projects, focusing on refrigeration-related tasks. This role involves managing main compressors, extensive piping work including stainless and copper, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule with high-quality standards and safety measures. Each project lasts approximately six months, with the first located near the Dallas airport. Responsibilities • Identify job site facility requirements and collaborate with the Project Manager to acquire necessary assets. • Establish and maintain job site security and coordinate with local building and permitting officials for inspections. • Review and maintain all contract documents on-site and communicate deficiencies to the Project Manager. • Work with the Project Manager in selecting subcontractors and suppliers, and hold start-up meetings to review scope, safety, schedule, and quality of work. • Monitor purchasing and delivery schedules, develop short-term schedules, and conduct weekly progress meetings. • Coordinate the activities of all on-site subcontractors for efficient operations and monitor adherence to schedule and quality requirements. • Establish and enforce on-site loss control programs and conduct weekly job site safety inspections. • Conduct regular safety meetings and investigate all loss control incidents to prevent reoccurrence. • Support the Project Manager in subcontractor bidding and ensure work conforms to contract documents and quality standards. • Complete daily quality checklists, coordinate independent testing labs, and conduct inspections as work nears completion. • Complete and transmit daily construction reports and ensure all necessary documentation is in place before subcontractor mobilization. Projects are located in various regions, with the first being near the Dallas airport. The role requires flexibility to work in both warm and cold temperatures. Travel expenses and lodging can be arranged, with a weekly allowance for meals and incidentals if needed. The position offers a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a focus on maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the project duration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
