Project Manager – Substation & Power Delivery Shape the Future of Power Infrastructure We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead impactful substation and power delivery projects from concept through completion. In this role, you’ll be at the center of multidisciplinary teams, driving schedules, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction while delivering critical infrastructure that keeps communities powered and connected. What You’ll Do As a Project Manager, you will take full ownership of small to medium‑sized projects, guiding them through every phase of the project lifecycle: • Lead and coordinate single‑discipline and multidisciplinary project teams from initiation through close‑out • Develop and manage staffing plans, balancing workloads to meet project demands • Ensure timely, high‑quality completion of all project deliverables • Facilitate productive work sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders • Build, maintain, and grow strong client relationships based on trust and performance • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations • Implement and uphold QA/QC standards across all project phases • Monitor project progress and proactively adjust resources and plans to maintain schedule and quality • Track and manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost controls • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Operations, and Business Leadership during periodic project reviews • Support business growth through participation in marketing efforts, proposal development, and contract negotiations What You Bring Required Experience & Skills • Minimum of 2+ years of project management experience with 7+ years of overall professional experience • Hands‑on experience with substation projects • Strong understanding of utilities engineering and power delivery systems • Experience in substation design and transmission • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering • Proficiency with MS Project and the MS Office Suite • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality concurrently Preferred Qualifications • Professional Engineering (PE) License strongly preferred • Experience with substation engineering and power delivery • Familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $84.13/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
