Job Title: Mechanical Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager with experience in managing healthcare projects, specifically overseeing MEP scope. This role involves overseeing projects valued at $20M or more, requiring direct experience in managing projects of similar size and scope. The ideal candidate will develop, estimate, sell, and manage multiple specialized, fast-track mechanical construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and cost/profitability forecasting. The role also involves generating business plans and expanding the revenue base through marketing, sales, and business development efforts, as well as training, mentoring, and supervising Project Engineers and Project Coordinators. Responsibilities • Take a leadership role and full ownership of estimates, project scoping, proposals, project safety, and project execution while meeting or exceeding departmental profitability goals. • Demonstrate strong understanding of mechanical systems costing and value analysis. • Communicate effectively with internal engineering teams to ensure complete designs that clearly convey scope within the established project budget. • Collaborate closely with internal manufacturing and fabrication teams to maintain a cohesive, supportive, and results-driven project approach. • Attend coordination and model review meetings as required. • Partner with business development teams to help secure new projects and expand the client base. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships. • Review estimates prepared by direct reports and establish detailed project budgets. • Estimate, price, and negotiate change orders. • Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs. • Manage buyout of major equipment and subcontractors. • Expedite and track delivery of major equipment and materials. • Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, project scope, and contract/subcontract requirements. • Control and maintain project documentation in accordance with company standards and contractual obligations. • Collaborate with field supervision to plan, organize, and schedule work, including preparation of integrated project schedules. • Review contract drawings, detail drawings, and technical specifications. • Prepare fabrication shop work packages, including detail drawing review, material takeoffs, procurement, and fabrication labor budgeting. • Ensure full compliance with company safety programs on all jobsites. • Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to all project stakeholders. • Demonstrate professionalism and uphold company core values. • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality as essential job functions.
