Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support the implementation of new, modified, or improved products into our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will work closely with quality assurance and manufacturing teams to enhance production efficiency and ensure product excellence. Responsibilities • Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes. • Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to implement measurement and process control techniques. • Design and develop tooling and processes to ensure effective and efficient production methods. • Collaborate with vendors to develop specifications for tooling, equipment, parts, or materials. • Assist operations in estimating staffing requirements, production times, and related costs. • Design and develop structured processes for improvement and coordinate product/process changes (ECR/PCR process). • Design, develop, and implement fixtures and tooling that maintain low defect levels and product cost. • Create and maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings and equipment design concepts. • Provide engineering support to the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Essential Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering. • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. • Experience writing work instructions. • Experience performing process audits. • Conducting time studies. • Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Technical writing skills. • Experience with process improvement, manufacturing processes, tooling, machining, and fabrication. Work Environment This role is exclusively for the 2nd shift (1-9 pm), offering a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a significant impact on lives. The facility is recently remodeled, featuring a game room area and an exceptionally clean manufacturing environment. The position involves 40% responding to machines, 40% setup, and 20% desk work. Candidates will gain experience setting up machines, running prototype and production work instructions, and training operators. The team consists of six manufacturing engineers and operates in a supportive and collaborative environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
