Full Description

Maintenance Electrical Supervisor Overview The Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all electrical maintenance activities at the Tampa plant. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems through proactive maintenance and team leadership. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. Key Responsibilities • Supervise, coach, and train electrical maintenance staff, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. • Review and coordinate work schedules with the Maintenance Planner. • Oversee electrical installations, renovations, and equipment replacements. • Manage contractor billing, accounting accuracy, and bid processes for repair, maintenance, and capital projects. • Estimate budgets for electrical capital projects and monitor project costs. • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to organize parts and maintain inventory. • Partner with Reliability Engineering on tactical and strategic reliability initiatives. • Plan and manage major downtime events. • Work with production supervisors to address root causes of downtime and improve reliability. • Monitor, update, and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs. • Manage the facility’s HVAC automation system and coordinate with contractors for industrial burner and HVAC maintenance. • Track and improve performance metrics; develop and update work procedures. • Participate in safety programs, meetings, and training to promote a safe work environment. • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED required; postsecondary degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. • Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial equipment. • 3+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting. • Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS systems; experience with PLCs (e.g., Wonderware). • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, VFDs, robotics, and workplace safety standards (LOTO, confined space). • Flexibility to be on call 24/7 for emergencies. Preferred Skills • Experience with Mainsaver CMMS. • Familiarity with troubleshooting gas burner systems. • Strong project management and organizational skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
