Full Description

Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description Under the direction of laboratory management, the lab technician will play a crucial role in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and samples. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure the laboratory operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities • Prepare mobile phase/diluents dissolution media and perform daily calibration of pH meters, balances, and other laboratory equipment. • Maintain cleanliness in the laboratory, including cleaning the dissolution bath. • Collect samples from the Vault according to the testing schedule and management requirements. • Receive samples, perform data entry for AR#, and maintain logbooks for raw materials and finished products. • Manage and release samples for Stability, Finished Product, In Process, Raw Materials, and Validation; create labels and maintain files for each sample. • Dispose of released samples per SOP. • Monitor and maintain lab supplies and chemicals inventory, and check expiration dates of standards and chemicals. • Collect, wash, and organize laboratory glassware and utensils daily. • Conduct equipment, glassware, and laboratory supplies cleaning and organizing activities. • Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills • Experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR, and pharmaceutical testing. • Proficiency in Chemistry and Quality Control. • Ability to work with glassware and chemicals. • Good writing skills and ability to follow regulations and protocols. • Degree in Sciences (Associate's or Bachelor's). Additional Skills & Qualifications • 0-1 year of experience in pharmaceutical formulation, analytical development, or research, including internships. • Knowledge of wet chemistry, titration, and chromatography. • Technical knowledge of computer applications related to laboratory applications. • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Understanding of mathematics and statistics. • Familiarity with sample preparation and spectroscopic techniques. Work Environment The lab technician will work in a laboratory setting with approximately 10 colleagues. The work involves a collaborative environment, often working cross-functionally within product development, quality, R&D, wet chemistry, titration, and chromatography. The laboratory is part of a growing Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) with high pay and a new facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Windsor, New Jersey. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
