Job Title: Design Engineering Manager Job Description We are seeking a hands-on engineering leader to manage a team dedicated to enhancing existing products. This role focuses on ensuring designs remain reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with current regulations. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing and customer support teams to address challenges and maintain the seamless operation of our products. Responsibilities • Lead projects aimed at improving product designs and reducing costs. • Guide a team of engineers in supporting production and addressing field issues. • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges. • Ensure products meet safety and certification standards. • Assist customers with technical solutions and updates. • Maintain accurate and organized design documentation. • Enhance engineering tools and processes. • Mentor engineers to develop their skills. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering. • 9+ years of engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. • 3+ years of experience in managing engineers or leading technical teams. • Strong experience in product design and mechanical analysis. • Experience in improving cost, quality, and performance. • Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks preferred), PLM/PDM systems, and compliance processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Passionate about aerospace. • Proven track record of driving cost, quality, and performance improvements. • Experience in CAD management, redlining, 3D design, equipment layout, and document control management. Work Environment The role is based in an office setting with interactions across multiple buildings, including time in the shop. Enjoy unique perks such as attending airshows and access to shared airplanes. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
