Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Job Description Provide project management support under the supervision and direction of a project manager. Implement assigned duties with exceptional accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities • Ensure all project estimates are prepared in accordance with project requirements and maintain familiarity with each estimate to support its integrity. • Review and monitor all design and construction phase documents for compliance with budget, schedule, and prime contract. • Prepare instructions and coordinate the bidding process; review subcontractor bids for conformance, qualifications, and financial factors. • Negotiate and prepare subcontracts, contract purchase orders, agreement change orders, and change order requests under the direction of a project manager. • Monitor all outstanding owner change orders and change order requests to ensure accuracy and timely processing. • Control job cost systems, information, and analysis. • Assist in preparing monthly project forecasts, cost reports, and construction billing forecasts. • Ensure all project activities and closeout efforts are properly planned and executed to meet standards and specifications. • Provide additional support in project engineering and field roles as needed. • Review and process all submittals and RFIs, ensuring compliance with contract documents and project requirements. • Participate in or chair meetings, coordinate agendas, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items. • Prepare all change order requests and agreement change orders; review pricing and status for compliance with the prime contract under the direction of a project manager. • Maintain document files and logs for processing. • Maintain and update current scheduling information based on feedback from the project superintendent. • Apply for permits and Certificates of Occupancy. • Coordinate utilities as directed. • Upload drawings to Procore and ensure current drawings are published and distributed to all trade partners. • Establish and manage procedures for systematic handling of problems and information requests during construction. • Implement job start-up and close-out procedures as directed by the project manager. • Utilize safe work practices and follow directives, policies, and procedures to maintain a healthy and safe work environment. • May mentor less experienced project engineers or interns. • May delegate action items to other staff as directed. Essential Skills • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager • Experience in industrial, retail, or commercial construction • Proficiency in construction management, RFIs, project coordination, estimation, project scheduling, and project engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with Procore and Bluebeam • Experience in general contracting, construction, industrial, and ground-up projects Work Environment This position is based onsite in Dallas. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
