We are looking for a Full Time Operations Manager for our Kent, WA location. Position Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and operational activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, cost control, and high customer service standards. This role leads and develops the warehouse management team, manages labor and equipment, ensures system accuracy, and drives continuous improvement across facility operations. Salary: $80,000 per year Responsibilities: · Directs the warehouse management team and builds a productive, engaged workforce through coaching, training, counseling, and discipline. · Ensures the TMS system (WT) is updated daily, all backup documentation is uploaded nightly, and accurate rates are maintained for proper billing. · Ensures the CMS system is updated in a timely manner to minimize exposure to U.S. Customs penalties. · Maintains full compliance with all regulatory authorities, including U.S. Customs, FDA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations. · Manages facility operations to reduce costs, improve operational effectiveness, and meet service-level expectations. · Assist in managing and processing claims accurately and in a timely manner. · Manages employee labor hours in Paylocity and actively works to minimize overtime. · Oversees company equipment to ensure all assets are functional, clean, and properly maintained; holds dispatchers accountable for cleanliness and damage; maintains daily equipment inventory. · Enhances management effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, training, motivating, empowering, and engaging team members while assigning clear accountability. · Interfaces directly with internal IT resources to support customer requirements and ensure systems and technology enable efficient operations. · Builds and maintain the company’s image by collaborating with customers, community organizations, and employees. · Maintains appropriate and professional communication with customers and responds to requests in a timely manner. · Assists in establishing customer service standards, communicating expectations to staff, and developing and implementing SOPs by account. · Manages systems of operational controls to ensure service levels and performance goals are achieved within defined cost, revenue, and profit targets. · Procures equipment and facilities necessary for efficient operations and develops programs to maintain company standards for safety, sanitation, maintenance, and security. Qualifications: · High school diploma required · Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouses, logistics, or operations management. · Strong working knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements. · Experience managing labor, equipment, and operational budgets. · Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. · Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Proficiency with TMS, CMS, labor management systems, and operational reporting tools. · Must have basic U.S. Customs knowledge, including an understanding of CBP Form 3461, In-Transit (IT, TE, IE) shipments.
