Full Description

We’re looking for a caring, dependable Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in our homeless shelter. This role ensures high-quality food preparation, safe kitchen practices, and a respectful, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and serve balanced meals, including bag lunches and late dinners • Follow all food safety and health regulations • Maintain clean, organized kitchen and dining areas • Receive, store, and label food donations properly • Complete weekly inventory of food and cleaning supplies • Assist volunteers and respond to resident/public inquiries professionally • Support program policies and help create a positive environment Requirements • 1+ year experience as a cook • HS diploma or GED • Food Handlers Card preferred • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods • Experience with special dietary needs is a plus • Preferred: experience in shelters, senior living, or human services settings Please connect with us to obtain additional details about this exciting opportunity Company DescriptionWith almost four decades of experience as a proven industry leader, Acro continues to be consistently recognized among the Best & Brightest Companies to Work for in the United States.
