The IT Project Manager II will lead business technology initiatives that support Acosta's Brand Advocacy Solutions organization. This role serves as a strategic liaison between enterprise technology teams, business stakeholders, and project delivery functions by translating enterprise application roadmaps, platform enhancements, and organizational priorities into actionable business-specific implementation plans. The successful candidate will drive enterprise-scale initiatives, assess impacts across multiple business units, develop execution roadmaps, and ensure technology investments align with BAS operational objectives. The Plan activities include: * defining the project objectives and developing a plan to accomplish the objectives * partnering with the project sponsors/stakeholders to define specific objectives * developing in concert with team members a plan to accomplish the objectives The Organize activities include: * identifying and securing resources (full time and or contractor) * determining tasks to complete and their associated timelines and deadlines * assigning tasks, delegating authority, and motivating team members to work together The Control activities include: * tracking actual progress to planned progress * providing status reports on a scheduled basis to members of the team * overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle * managing change controls and scope creep RESPONSIBILITIES * Direct and manage small, medium and large scale software development projects from beginning to end. * Understand overall visions of the project as it relates to other projects in the PMO. * Interact with architects on determining tactical and strategic solutions for the business sponsor/stakeholders and communicating those solutions to the business sponsor/stakeholders. * Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and the project sponsors/stakeholders. * Develop full-scale project plans for small to large scale projects and associated communications documents. * Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and project sponsors/stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. * Ability to liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. * Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. * Identify and secure resources throughout the project life cycle. * Manage project expectations with team members and project sponsors/stakeholders. * Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members. * Ability to gain commitment of the team. * Coach, mentor, and motivate team members and manage conflict resolution. * Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. * Track project milestones and deliverables. * Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations when necessary. * Manage project scope, change controls, and develop contingency plans. * Define project success criteria and communicate to team. * Build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project. * Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. * Conduct lessons learned sessions and close out projects. QUALIFICATIONS Education * Minimum of High School Diploma/GED * Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area of study Work Experience * 2 or more years of relevant work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution * Experience managing deliverables and milestones: on time/meeting business needs. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Knowledge and understanding of the CPG environment across channels and categories, with specific familiarity with Acosta and its history and organization. * Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities * Knowledge in contract language and process, as well as an understanding of pricing resource allocation * Extreme flexibility/adaptability and comfort with conflict resolution in a professional manner * Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, excellent time management * Developing and maintaining relationships and establishing trust across client and customer leadership teams * Personal, technical and organizational skills necessary to help control projects and achieve successful results * Drives communication across all levels of leadership both internally and externally, with high level of professional acumen. Ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedule, strategies and org structure to stakeholders * Excellent written and spoken communication skills – this role must represent Acosta to the highest level of our client’s organizations * Working knowledge of e-sourcing portals and other methods of RFP delivery platforms like Ariba, GEP, Scout etc. * Must possess level of professional maturity required to work with confidential and proprietary information belonging to both Acosta and our client partners.
