We manage complete supply chains—international air and ocean freight, domestic trucking, warehousing, cross-border Mexico, and in-house customs—under one umbrella. Our newest growth initiative is establishing a Cincinnati-based domestic operations and procurement hub, connecting Midwest capacity to a global logistics platform. Position Overview We’re hiring a Manager – Carrier Procurement & Development to build, lead, and scale our domestic carrier network in the Cincinnati region. This role is perfect for someone who comes out of truckload brokerage, carrier sales, or procurement and is ready for a step up—moving from transactional spot freight into a strategic, multi-modal, global supply chain environment. You’ll focus on: • Developing and strengthening ACF’s national carrier base • Supporting sales teams with real-time capacity, rate intelligence, and routing solutions • Building a scalable procurement function supporting FTL, LTL, and expedited freight • Connecting domestic capacity to our international and warehousing operations If your experience is primarily domestic, we’ll train you on ocean, air, customs, and compliance so you can operate confidently within a global logistics organization. Key Responsibilities • Lead carrier procurement and development strategy for the Cincinnati region • Build and expand a high-quality network of FTL, LTL, and expedited carriers • Negotiate contracts, build rate matrices, and maintain market-competitive capacity • Provide real-time capacity insights and pricing support to national sales teams • Oversee load planning, dispatching quality, and carrier performance standards • Ensure compliance with safety, insurance, onboarding, and regulatory requirements • Collaborate with ACF’s international, warehousing, and customs teams to build end-to-end solutions • Develop SOPs, KPIs, and reporting to measure performance and profitability • Represent ACF’s leadership mindset—proactive, solution-driven, and customer-focused Required Experience & Skills • 5–7+ years in truckload brokerage, carrier sales, domestic operations, or procurement • Strong background in carrier negotiation, procurement strategy, and relationship building • Experience supporting or guiding sales teams with routing, capacity, and pricing • Analytical problem solver comfortable with margin, service standards, and network optimization • Strong leadership skills—even if you haven’t formally managed a team, you’ve led by influence • Familiar with TMS systems, carrier onboarding, and U.S. transportation regulations • Interest in expanding into global logistics—air, ocean, cross-border, bonded warehousing (training provided) Why Join ACF • Global logistics platform with offices in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and Asia • Ability to shape the Cincinnati procurement and development function from day one • Clear path into broader international or operational leadership roles • Competitive compensation with performance incentives and full benefits • Training provided across ocean, air, customs, and compliance • A high-growth, entrepreneurial environment backed by a proven leadership team Ideal Candidate Profile You’re someone who knows the domestic trucking world inside and out — but you’re ready for more.
