ACET is seeking a senior Business Development (BD) professional to lead growth efforts within the U.S. Army Aviation market, with a primary focus on platform and related rotary-wing aviation programs. This role is responsible for identifying, shaping, and capturing Army aviation opportunities by leveraging deep domain expertise, established customer relationships, and a proven understanding of the Army acquisition and sustainment ecosystem. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding ACET’s presence across aviation sustainment, modification, training, logistics, PMI, and CMS contracts. • *Please note that this is a remote position however the candidate should be able to travel frequently to customer sites.** Key Responsibilities Business Development & Capture • Lead identification, shaping, and capture of Army rotary aviation opportunities, with emphasis on UH-60 Black Hawk programs • Develop and execute capture strategies from early shaping through contract award • Engage customers 12–18 months prior to RFP release to influence requirements and acquisition approaches • Serve as ACET’s primary interface with Army Aviation stakeholders for assigned pursuits • Build and maintain a probability-weighted pipeline aligned with company growth objectives Customer & Partner Engagement • Maintain strong relationships with: • Army Aviation Program Managers (PMs) • PEO Aviation and AMCOM stakeholders • Contracting officers and sustainment organizations • Establish and manage teaming relationships with primes, OEMs, and strategic partners • Represent ACET at industry days, conferences, and customer engagements Market & Competitive Intelligence • Monitor Army aviation budgets, forecasts, and acquisition plans • Track competitor activity and incumbent positions • Advise leadership on bid/no-bid decisions based on win probability and strategic fit Internal Leadership & Coordination • Collaborate with technical, program management, pricing, and proposal teams • Ensure ACET offerings are aligned with customer needs and evaluation criteria • Support proposal development with customer insights, win themes, and competitive positioning Required Qualifications Experience • 10+ years of experience in DoD or Army-focused business development, capture management, or program leadership • Demonstrated success winning Army aviation or defense contracts • Strong working knowledge of the Army Acquisition Process, including: • PEO Aviation • PM Utility Helicopters • AMCOM / Redstone Arsenal • Experience with IDIQs, task orders, BOAs, and aviation sustainment contracts Domain Expertise • Background in rotary-wing aviation, preferably UH-60 Black Hawk or closely related platforms • Experience in aviation sustainment, MRO, training, logistics, modification, PMI, or CMS • Ability to communicate credibly with technical and operational Army stakeholders Preferred Qualifications • Former Army Aviation officer or senior NCO • Prior experience supporting UH-60, CH-47, or other Army rotary-wing fleets • Industry experience with major Army aviation primes or OEMs • Active Top Secret clearance Skills & Competencies • Strategic thinking and long-range capture planning • Relationship-driven business development • Strong communication and executive presence • Proven ability to influence without authority • Disciplined bid/no-bid judgment • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization Performance Metrics • Win rate and revenue growth in Army aviation markets • Quality and maturity of capture pipeline • Early customer engagement success • Strategic positioning on key Army aviation vehicles • Contribution to long-term company growth objectives . • *All candidates must be a U.S. Citizen to apply** The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
