The Marketing + Communications (M+C) Lead is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for shaping and executing marketing strategies that elevate The Forge® as the premier federal innovation hub for Accenture Federal Services, a leading technology partner in the federal market. This role is the primary liaison between The Forge, M+C, client account teams, and executive leadership—driving visibility, engagement, and thought leadership with clients and partners and across the market. Candidate must be local to the Metro Washington, DC, area. The Work: Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for The Forge that aligns with business priorities and growth objectives. Lead Engagement Campaigns Design and deliver integrated campaigns to attract current and prospective clients, leveraging paid and organic media, email marketing, video, social media, and web content. Own Event Storytelling & Content Creation Serve as the point of contact for video and photography production for events at The Forge—crafting narratives, preparing speakers (business, client, and partner), and coordinating development of creative assets. Drive Co-marketing Partnerships Collaborate with partners and speakers on co-marketing initiatives to amplify reach and impact. Lead Signature Content Series Manage end-to-end production of Tech on Deck episodes and #AtTheForge campaigns, including guest engagement, storyboards, filming coordination, and promotional assets. Maintain Editorial & Digital Presence Oversee The Forge’s editorial calendar and digital footprint—ensuring compelling, consistent content across external and internal digital channels. Critical Skills for Success: Strategic Marketing Leadership Ability to translate business objectives into bold, innovative marketing strategies that drive measurable impact. Content & Storytelling Expertise Skilled in crafting narratives that resonate with federal audiences and showcase technology leadership. Digital Marketing & Campaign Management Proficiency in multi-channel marketing (social, web, email, paid media) and analytics-driven optimization. Executive Presence & Communication Comfortable engaging senior leaders, clients, and partners, with strong presentation and influencing skills. Project Management & Agility Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex, fast-paced initiatives with multiple stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment. Comfortably manage relationships and navigate change as well as “roll up your sleeves” in program management and execution Collaboration & Partnership Building Ability to foster strong relationships across internal teams, clients, and strategic partners. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian. Creative Vision & Innovation Passion for pushing boundaries in marketing experiences and using emerging technologies. What You Need: Minimum 7 years of marketing experience in professional services or other B2B or B2G organization, or military or civilian. Federal industry marketing experience across a range of activities and channels. Bachelor’s degree Ability to support events at The Forge as needed As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
