Within CIFR, our Crisis Readiness practice helps organizations build the governance, strategies, and plans needed to navigate disruption with confidence. Sitting at the intersection of crisis readiness and active cyber crisis response, the team partners with senior executives across industries to strengthen crisis preparedness, lead real-time incident response, and drive post-incident improvement. You Are: A crisis management leader with commanding executive presence and the critical thinking and independent judgment to drive outcomes when circumstances are ambiguous and the stakes are high. You assess, decide, and act without waiting for perfect information. You are equally at home advising a CEO as you are a tactical team through an active cyber crisis, bringing the same clarity and composure to both. You translate complex technical concepts into clear, strategic guidance that enables senior stakeholders to make confident decisions under pressure. You read client situations quickly, identifying what is needed and assembling the right mix of technical and functional expertise to deliver the solution. You build trusted relationships with senior clients, develop the people around you, and lead every engagement with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. The Work: Lead client cyber crisis and incident engagements across the full lifecycle — crisis readiness, response, and recovery — serving as the authoritative point of contact and advisor for client stakeholders before, during, and after a cyber incident Assess client needs and assemble the right mix of technical and functional resources to build a team capable of delivering the right solution for the engagement Lead and direct team workstreams under high-pressure, ambiguous circumstances to drive client outcomes during active crisis engagements Design, develop, and facilitate crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, and readiness assessments architected to reflect realistic, client-specific cyber scenarios — engaging senior stakeholders to test and strengthen organizational crisis and incident response capabilities Develop, refine, and dynamically adapt crisis readiness frameworks, playbooks, and governance structures to meet the specific demands of a client's environment — translating standard methodologies into tailored solutions that reflect the client's organizational context, regulatory requirements, and the realities of an active cyber crisis Lead post-incident reviews and lessons-learned workshops, translating findings into actionable improvement roadmaps and owning the delivery of those findings back to senior client stakeholders Contribute to practice and business development by authoring thought leadership, developing and refining methodologies, supporting proposals, and identifying expansion opportunities within existing client relationships Manage and develop a team of crisis readiness consultants, providing day-to-day oversight, mentorship, and delivery guidance Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements. Here's What You Need: Minimum 5 years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, incident management, or a closely related advisory discipline Minimum 4 years of client-facing consulting experience in crisis management, cybersecurity, or a closely related advisory discipline Minimum 3 years of experience advising or engaging directly with senior executives in high-stakes or crisis scenarios Minimum 4 years of experience managing and developing teams in a consulting or advisory environment Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience leading or facilitating client workshops, crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, or readiness assessments Minimum 3 years demonstrated project or program management experience planning, coordinating, and delivering complex engagements on time and within scope Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience) Bonus Points If: You hold relevant certifications such as CBCP, CISM, CEM, DRCE, CRISC, CISSP, or similar credentials in crisis management, business continuity, or cybersecurity You have experience integrating cyber incident response with enterprise crisis management frameworks You have hands-on experience working directly on technical components of cyber crisis response, including containment, eradication, or recovery activities Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
