5+ years in supply chain or procurement, expertise in demand modeling, financial systems knowledge, ERP experience, strong communication and stakeholder management, and relevant certifications preferred.
Position Summary: Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning Manager chain manager is responsible for integrating demand, supply, and financial planning into a unified plan to balance inventory costs and service levels. This role will link strategic plans to operational goals and develop a robust model to maximize profit and available to promise inventory levels at the right times of year. The SIOP Manager is the subject matter expert for demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning in annual, quarterly, and monthly periods. This role will own the inventory forecast and be responsible for working capital investments throughout the year. This role is expected to operate at both the tactical and strategic level. Position Responsibilities: • Develop statistical models to optimize safety stocks while balancing customer service levels • Review, store, and backup final adjusted and unadjusted statistical forecasts • Review and analyze forecasted versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends • Notify Scheduling and Manufacturing of significant forecast or capacity changes in a timely basis • Make working capital investment decisions for inventory, including time-of-year optimization • Measure, control, and improve SIOP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes • Participate in operations and supply chain strategic reviews and decisions • Support the supply chain team in vendor management and vendor performance reviews • All other duties and responsibilities as requested Position Qualifications: Experience and Abilities: • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Sourcing • Deep understanding of deterministic and stochastic demand modeling, able to create new models from scratch in data-light environments • Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment • Knowledge of procurement tools and software; ERP applications like Oracle, Netsuite, SAP • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to lead presentations with senior management and leadership teams • Strong history of gaining buy in from stakeholders and enforcing plans across an organization • Strong knowledge of both Microsoft Office and Google Suite, able to seamlessly transition between ecosystems • Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across multiple functions • Ability to manage changing priorities and develop contingency plans due to market or supply chain issues • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel Education: • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or related field • MBA, master's degree in engineering, Finance, or equivalent • Certifications that are a plus (any): • Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) • Supply Chain Procurement Certificate (SCPC) • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) • IATA DGR certificate, DOT HAZMAT training
