About the Role We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and effective communication. Your expertise in electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance will contribute directly to the smooth functioning of our operations. Responsibilities • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure systems are functioning correctly. • Address electrical malfunctions by repairing or replacing fixtures, switches, outlets, and other components, ensuring compliance with safety standards. • Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring proper functionality. • Perform painting, carpentry, and masonry tasks to maintain the appearance and structural integrity of the facilities. • Execute routine maintenance on facilities equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure continuous operation. • Monitor and maintain air compressors and vacuum pumps, performing regular checks and necessary adjustments. • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels to facilitate efficient operations. Qualifications Required Skills • Proven experience in facilities maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of building systems. • Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks. • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to facilities maintenance. • Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. Preferred Skills • Experience with low-pressure boiler systems and fire compression systems. • Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and implementation. • Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and provide recommendations to management.
