Position Overview The Senior Content Project Manager/ Program Manager will lead and coordinate projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and quality standards. This role requires deep expertise in project management, content development, and educational technology, along with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technology-enabled content initiatives. Key Responsibilities Project Lifecycle Management · Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle for content creation and EdTech solutions. · Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals. Team Leadership & Collaboration · Lead multi-disciplinary teams including content creators, instructional designers, developers, and SMEs. · Foster a collaborative environment to drive project success. Stakeholder Engagement · Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership, clients, and external partners. · Provide clear and timely communication on progress, risks, and outcomes. Budget & Resource Management · Monitor project budgets and resource allocations for optimal efficiency. · Identify and resolve bottlenecks or resource gaps. Risk Management & Mitigation · Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. Quality Assurance · Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and instructional design best practices. Process Optimization · Continuously refine project management processes to improve efficiency and outcomes. Qualifications · Experience: 10+ years in project management within content development and/or EdTech. · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Educational Technology, or related field. · Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent). · Technical Proficiency: Experience with Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project; Agile and Waterfall methodologies. · Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. · Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Key Responsibilities Program & Portfolio Leadership · Lead complex, multi-workstream course development programs across print and digital formats. · Develop and manage program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. · Ensure delivery against scope, schedule, quality standards, and financial targets. · Identify and mitigate risks across content, production, and platform dependencies. Course Development Oversight · Partner with Editorial, SMEs, Instructional Design, Production, and Digital teams. · Ensure instructional integrity, pedagogical alignment, and market relevance. · Oversee content development from manuscript creation through production and digital asset integration. · Establish scalable processes for new product development and content refresh cycles. Cross-Functional Coordination · Serve as the primary program lead across Content, Product, and Technology stakeholders. · Facilitate governance forums, status reporting, and executive updates. · Drive decision-making clarity across competing priorities. Operational Excellence · Implement best practices in workflows, milestone tracking, and quality assurance. · Manage vendors, freelancers, and external partners. · Ensure adherence to accessibility, compliance, and editorial standards. · Continuously improve efficiency and cost management. Financial & Commercial Alignment · Monitor program budgets and P&L impacts. · Align development scope with business case assumptions. · Support go-to-market readiness with commercial teams. Qualifications · 10+ years in educational publishing, EdTech, or digital learning environments. · Proven experience leading end-to-end course development programs. · Strong understanding of instructional design principles and content production workflows. · Expertise in program management (roadmaps, dependencies, governance, risk management). · Experience managing distributed and cross-functional teams. · Ability to manage multiple concurrent product releases. · Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills. · Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of content development, eLearning, and educational technology platforms.
