Since 1999, we have been engineering and repairing the major components of power transmission systems for Heavy Industry. We are globally recognized for our ability to analyze and understand our customer's problems and offer reliable, cost-effective solutions and personalized service. Our strengths rely heavily on our field experience, equipment performance feedback knowledge, application engineering know-how as well as design, testing, manufacture, and distribution experience. We continuously seek the best talent around the world and, at this moment, we have an opening in the following position: Sales Engineer to cover Louisiana and Texas region. Position Objective This individual will be responsible for managing the relationships of a current group of strategic End User Customers, Industrial Distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturer accounts. In addition of that, develop other customer accounts inside assigned territory .Utilize a consultative selling approach to help our end users and Purchasing enhance their performance by providing unrivaled value and innovation. Build Strategies and execute action plans in support of our business and marketing initiatives to meet sales and profit goals. Through technical knowledge, great customer service, and strong connections, increase our core business focused on Atlantic Custom Bearings (ACB), MGS (Power Transmission Products) and AEC (Atlantic Engineering Chain) and other standard related items, market penetration and profitability developing solutions to fit customer expectations and needs. Main Responsibilities • Sales and Business Development • Market Grows • Customer Engagement and Relationship Building • Technical Consultation and Solution Development • Custome Support and after-sales Services Duties Customer Engagement And Relationship Building • Identify and target potential customers in the bearing and power transmission industry. • Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their requirements and providing them with personalized solutions. • Frequent visits to customer sites (planning, maintenance, engineering, operations) to assess their needs, provide technical advice, and promote company products and services. • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and applications of the company's bearing and engineering solutions. • Participate in events to promote ABS Products and Services. Technical Consultation And Solution Development • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and technical challenges. • Discuss with customers how ABS can collaborate to enhance performance expectations upon application and engineering requirements. • Gather customer specifications, drawings, and engineering data which must be addressed to ABS Engineering for analysis and as a result customized solutions. • Work closely with the company's engineering team to join the process of customized products developing to meet client needs. • Submit technical proposals, quotations, and bids for customers (end users, purchasing), ensuring accuracy and alignment with their requirements and procedures. Sales Indicators And Business Development • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new segment markets, facilities and customer management areas along production line. • Conduct regular sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement. • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments (Quality Control, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Management) to optimize sales processes, enhance customer experience, and drive business growth. • Encourage ABS Participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, promote company products, and generate leads. • Search and Develop new accounts. Market Intelligence And Competitor Analysis • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the bearing and power transmission markets. • Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify emerging customer needs, technological advancements, and competitive threats. • Provide feedback and insights to internal teams, such as product development, marketing, and management, to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Customer Support And After-Sales Service • Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and post-sales support. • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues in a timely and effective manner. • Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and foster long-term relationships. Technical & Administrative Competencies • Strong command of sales principles, negotiation, and commercial tactics, with the ability to manage complex B2B industrial sales processes and close profitable opportunities. • Solid working knowledge of bearings, power transmission products, and industrial power systems, sufficient to support technical discussions and consultative selling with customers. • Clear understanding of how engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, sales, and marketing interact within an industrial organization, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration. • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, manage expectations, and drive results in long-term customer relationships. • Experience using CRM systems (including Dynamics 365) to manage pipelines, track opportunities, and support forecasting and reporting. • Strong project coordination and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for sales analysis, reporting, and performance tracking. • Working proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word to prepare presentations, proposals, and commercial documentation. • Practical understanding of industrial operations and maintenance environments, enabling effective on-site engagement with customer teams. Human & Personal Competencies • Strong customer and results orientation. • Highly developed planning, organization, and self-discipline. • Proven ability to manage negotiations and resolve conflicts in a professional and constructive manner. • Solid problem-solving skills, with the capacity to analyze situations, propose practical solutions, and make sound decisions. • Ability to think creatively and independently, contributing ideas and approaches that add value to customers and internal teams. • Effective communication and teamwork skills, allowing collaboration across departments. Requirements • Bachelor´s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Metallurgical Engineering or related. • 3 to 5 years of experience in the following: • Industrial sales • Technical experience on Bearings and Power Transmission • Sugar Industry (optional) • Industrial Maintenance , Engineering, Operations • Cement Industry (Optional) Required Degree: Yes Languages: Fluent in English, Spanish preferred Travel availability: Yes, over 60% License and vehicle: Yes Location: Louisiana (preferred: Lafayette, Baton Rouge, or Lake Charles) or Houston, TX.
