Position Overview As a Field Technician I, you’ll assist in the installation and servicing of AV, networking, and security systems—including data cabling, cameras, access control, and smart automation. This role is ideal for someone with foundational technical skills who wants to grow into a fully independent systems technician under the guidance of senior team members. Key Responsibilities • Install TVs, speakers, cameras, access control systems, and structured cabling. • Pull, terminate, and test Cat6, coax, speaker wire, and fiber-optic cabling. • Assist with network switch setup, rack assembly, labeling, and cable dressing. • Follow diagrams and blueprints to execute clean, organized installations. • Support system testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. • Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and ABNH standards for punctuality, professionalism, and uniform appearance. • Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, or weekends based on project needs. • Travel is part of the job and may be required regionally within a 2–4 hour radius. Skills & Experience • 1–2 years of experience in low-voltage, AV, or data cabling installations. • Working knowledge of Cat5e/Cat6 terminations, fiber basics, and signal flow. • Familiarity with smart-hands work, CCTV, and access control wiring is a plus. • Comfortable working in tight spaces, on lifts, or at heights when necessary. • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. • Basic knowledge of conduit installation is a plus.
