## Key Role Overview The Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of assigned buildings or facilities. This entry-level role involves routine janitorial duties, maintaining cleanliness and safety, using cleaning chemicals and equipment properly, and reporting maintenance needs to managers. On-the-job training is provided, making it suitable for those entering or returning to the workforce. ## Key Responsibilities - Clean and maintain buildings and facilities, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment. - Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. - Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems. - Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers. - Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, clients, and regulatory authorities. - Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, manually or using hand trucks. - Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. - Wash and replace blinds and gather and empty trash. - Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks as required. - Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas; service, clean, and supply restrooms. ## Required Qualifications - Must be 18 years of age or older. - No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. - No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required. ## Preferred Qualifications - Customer service experience. - Up to 1 year of similar work experience. ## Compensation & Benefits - Pay: $17.50 per hour. - ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package for frontline team members. ## Additional Information - Entry-level role suitable for individuals entering or returning to the workforce; military veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply (Military Occupational Specialty Codes: 92S, 92Y, LS, DC). - ABM participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E - Verify program and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. - Candidates needing assistance with the application due to a disability can call 888-328-8606 for reasonable accommodation. - ABM directs applicants to apply at www.abm.com/careers; unsolicited resumes are not accepted.
