Job Description Job Summary Details: The Floor Tech is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning. Also responsible for using safety measures in work areas. Duties also include assisting the Building/Account Lead with special projects including but not limited to, setups, breakdowns, move in/ move outs). Willing to complete other duties as assigned. Pay: $20.00 The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) Basic Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older • No experience required and on the job training provided • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required Preferred Qualifications: • Customer service experience • 1 year of similar work experience Responsibilities: • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. • Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds • Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications • Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors • Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment • Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs • Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. • Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities • Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
