On-Call Weekend Caregiver Guidelines • Weekend Availability: Must remain available and reachable for assignments during designated on-call hours (typically Friday 5 PM – Sunday 10 PM). • Response Time: Must respond to calls or texts from the scheduler within 15–30 minutes. • Assignment Acceptance: Expected to accept and complete assigned shifts unless there is a valid emergency or pre-approved unavailability. • Each shift includes a minimum visit time of 3 hours. Shift times may vary based on client location and caregiver availability. Job Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality care and assistance to clients in accordance with individualized care plans. • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and meal preparation. • Perform light housekeeping and assist with errands or transportation to appointments. • Ensure client safety and comfort, reporting any changes in condition promptly to the branch supervisor. • Accurately document all visits and care tasks using our home care app. • Submit receipts and documentation for any shopping or errands completed for clients. • Participate in annual training (12 hours, paid) and quarterly supervisory conferences. Qualifications: • Available and on-call weekends (Friday - Sunday) with flexible response times. • High school diploma or GED or minimum 1 year of caregiving experience. • Willing to work with clients with diverse conditions (including homes with pets or smokers). • Ability to pass a criminal background check. • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle (or access to public transportation). • Willing to complete the online pre-service training provided by Abcor during the hiring process (24 hours online training, unpaid).
