You’ll join a high-caliber team of leaders, operators, and builders with backgrounds at Uber, Scale AI, DoorDash, Dropbox, Meta, and more. The Role We’re looking for an experienced and driven individual to join us as a Senior Software Engineer. You will report to the VP, Head of Engineering. This is a full-time opportunity based in San Francisco, CA (4 days in-person) Abby Care is redefining family caregiving with AI-powered products and support. In this role, you’ll design and build technology that is core to the families we serve and to how Abby Care operates. You will solve challenging technical problems with real-world impact and help shape the product direction and roadmap as a key early engineer. Key Responsibilities: Drive product and platform development. You will take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from concept to delivery. This involves defining project scope based on requirements, performing full-stack development, conducting user testing, and managing launch cycles. Partner with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems. You will partner with teams such as operations, clinical, compliance, product and more, in order to build solutions that work in the real world. You will be a critical voice for articulating technical initiatives to further our mission. Lead the team in technical excellence. You will deepen your technical “spikes”, be they in product-development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, or data security, as well as broaden your horizons by building greenfield systems using the latest advancements in AI. You will be challenged to uphold health care industry standards and become an expert in one of the US’s largest sectors. The Requirements: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Experience with Web and API development Experience working with Typescript and Python Experience with cloud architectures and platforms such as AWS A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred Experience with product development is preferred Experience in the healthcare industry and at startups is preferred Our Values Families First Redefining healthcare starts with how we treat the parents and children we serve. The base salary range for this role is between $120,000 to $170,000 + annual performance bonus + meaningful company equity. Comprehensive health coverage that works for you.
