WHAT YOU’LL DO SUMMARY: The Director of Sales is accountable for leading a cross functional team toward developing and implementing best in class account specific sales strategies for Abbott Nutrition Products Division (ANPD) retail customer accounts across the customer base to deliver topline sales, share, and profit growth objectives. With responsibility for all brands within Abbott Nutrition Products Division (ANPD) the incumbent will collaborate with the customer and cross-functional teams to lead ANPD to profitable growth. This individual will be responsible for an account portfolio and the development of a cross functional sales team of more than 20 colleagues. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to accelerate ANPD’s growth. Partner with other sales and marketing leaders to develop and drive the company’s long and short-term revenue growth strategies. Provide thought leadership and solutions along the entire value chain, inclusive of brand teams, shopper marketing, shopper & category insights, supply chain, packaging etc. Successfully manage the life cycle of products through collaboration with brand on product renovations and innovations Lead and develop a cross-functional sales team; provide direction to direct reports, shopper marketing, category management & insights, and supply chain on customer strategies and initiatives to drive strategic priorities within their team and customers. Drive growth of eCommerce by being an expert at the customer level and imbedding within the sales team. Collaborate with customer accounts to develop and leverage customer-specific strategies that drive mutual sales growth and brand equity. Act as key customer lead across the retail sales force to ensure consistency and strategy within the channel and to represent the needs of the retailers and shoppers with internal stakeholders. Partner with Brand Marketing to integrate innovation and digital campaigns to drive brand growth in the e-commerce channel. Provide thought leadership, innovation and process improvement initiatives. Responsible for customer P&L; identifies risk within channel and solves for contingency plans. Responsible for forecasting accuracy within the CBC Lead, coach and develop team; actively engage in talent management including succession planning and development of bench talent. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of sales / customer management experience with a preference for experience in Food, Drug, Mass Customers or Corporate HQ sales strategy experience. Must have prior sales experience at leading CPG manufacturer, grocer or retailer with ability to provide strategic thought leadership on multiple retail channels. Must understand and keep current with competitors, industry trends, eCommerce, and innovation. Ability to work in a matrixed, cross functional team environment with ability to develop relationships at all levels within the organization. Strong financial and analytical acumen; proven P&L and business planning experience required. Ability to build, coach and develop team. Aptitude to work in emerging an/ or undefined channels. The base pay for this position is $168,000.00 – $336,000.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
