Abacus is looking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. This is a contract to hire role Hours: 4:00am - 4:00pm Sun - Wed OR 4:00am - 4:00pm Wed - Sun Responsibilities: • Manage and process incoming shipments, ensuring the accuracy and quality of received goods. • Receive and unload incoming shipments from delivery trucks. • Verify quantities and inspect the condition of goods against purchase orders and packing lists. • Document any discrepancies, damages, or issues with incoming shipments and communicate them to the appropriate parties (suppliers, supervisors). • Label and sort incoming inventory, allocating items to their designated storage locations. • Update inventory records and maintain accurate stock levels in the inventory management system. • Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to lift and move heavy items (potentially up to 50 lbs.) and work on feet for extended periods. • Ability to prioritize tasks. • Basic computer proficiency. • Familiarity with inventory management software.
